What was/is your doorway to the truth?

For me, there have been several throughout my life, some personal and some professional.

Each time I saw things breaking down around me, or at very least, not working out how I had planned…I would push harder. Resist. Try to work out in my head, what could I do to change things or keep them the same.

Work harder, try more things, do more things.

Try to be a ‘better’ person/partner/business owner/fill in the blank.

In reality, I was trying to control outcomes, but nobody can do that.

What I was actually doing was prolonging the inevitable and not accepting my reality.

I was fighting against my truth, which unbeknownst to me (back then) was creating scenarios so I would finally have a chance of not only seeing who I am, but then becoming her.

But instead, I was resisting it.

Wondering “why is this happening TO me” instead of getting curious as “to why this is happening for me”.

It’s a subtle shift, but a massive difference.

The key ~ viewing the ‘breaking down’ in a different light.

If things aren’t working, no matter what aspect of your life, pushing harder isn’t going to change that. Trust me on this, I have done the research for you.

What is needed, what is being called of you, is to see things with fresh eyes.

To not see this as a breakdown but a breakthrough.

A meltdown that will lead to your metamorphosis.

This will look different for everyone.

I have worked with clients who just had a niggle that after all the work they had put in to grow their business or career, and achieve those lofty goals, they just weren’t happy.

Clients who thought they wanted to be high flying business owners, who then gave it all up to become a yoga instructor.

Others who appear to have it all on paper (the money, the kids, the house, the husband, the business) but feel like something is missing or dead inside. They feel sad, flat, find themself binging on food, drinking too much or working so hard, to block out those feelings instead.

Some of them had big life events, an accident that changes everything, an illness that means they can’t live and work how they used to, accompanied by an inner niggle that they are not supposed to.

Some just can’t quite get their business lined up, they have an idea of what they want to be doing, but they can’t quite articulate it or bring it all together on their own, like a vital, magical piece of the puzzle is missing.

For others it is a lack of purpose, they want to find the meaning to their life.

The doorway to truth will look different to everyone.

I understand that opening a new doorway can be daunting, perhaps you don’t want things to change, or you’re worried because of the lack of certainty.

You want things to stay as they are, so you know where you are.

You don’t want to feel uncomfortable or unsettled, perhaps you don’t want to feel anything at all.

But on the other side of that doorway, if you are prepared to walk through it, is a life full of technicolor, so vibrant and alive with your truth, that any hot coals you may have to walk over, to go through it, are not only worth it but become the most empowering experience of your life, leading you to peace, calm and joy, to YOUR truth and who you are here to be.

Love always 🦋
